First of all we could like to welcome you to our company website, in which we would like to introduce our new full size Messerschmitt Bf 109 G replica. All around the World there is only three known partly original Bf 109`s flying and an early model Bf 109 which is fully original. Today a fully original Bf 109 is very rare and can be barely seen. The  three Bf 109`s that are partly orignal is because they used to be Spanish built Hispano model  Bf 109`s that have been refitted with original Daimler Benz engines.  The value and the upkeeping of these aircraft demands a high cost because mainly the parts used are original ones, which by time are getting harder  to find and if there is no spare part you have to wait till one is found, for example the Bf 109 G-2 “Black-6” took almost 20 years to complete to original condition and to be able to fly, at the time it was the only all original Bf 109 to take to the air since World War 2. To preserve it it has been grounded after flying for a few years and it now can be seen on display in England.

Because the Bf 109 is an icon in Aviation History completing a lot of records, being in service and being a potent fighter for many years, also it was the prefered aircraft for many fighter aces  who were the real  top guns in military aviation.  A lot of this have contributed to seeing many people who cant get there hands on a real aircraft but would like to have the thrill to fly one, build different size replicas of the Bf 109, from 70-85% in size, which would sound ok, but it has a lot downsides. To point out a few, this aircraft was not big, so when redesigning it in smaller scale some parts of it has to stay, and this makes certain parts of the plane uneven, like the canopy, the wings or tailplain for example, but also minor things like propeller, or undercarrige which always seem to be very small and very different. After spending a few years with the design process we gathered original documents, and many other dimenstions from other saurces to see the differences. Also we had to come up with an idea to save weight but also be very strong, and thats how we chose the “sandwich” idea to build the aircraft. When we thought it through we built a 1:10 scale model with the exact same method of building and its very shocking on how strong it became and how light it is, the whole aircraft  weighs 750g`s. A lot of people might think the main structure and main support is the plywood/pine frame, but actually it works in conjunction with the fibreglass/carbon/kevlar and that will take most if it. The foam we use, is the same as what the Australian Airforce uses, very high quality and its very good because it absorbs vibration in the airframe which is vital on the long run. It doesnt appear on the photos as we see it in person, but as soon as the foam was blown on the fuselage, you could strait away feel that it gave it a lot of rigidity and as when only this first layer of fibreglass went on the fuselage it gave it a whole world of a difference and is very strong even at this stage.

The weight of it sofar is not a lot, the fuselage we estimate weighs around 85Kg`s  and its nearly finished, it needs a few more layers of firbeglass and we will be using a few sheets of the combined firbeglass/carbon/kevlar which will make it very strong again. The wings and tail surfaces will also be built this way, the wing will have two main and a third front spar going into slots already made. Because we took the fuselage (centroplane) out more to the sides our landing gears will be 10cm wider on each side which will be better on the ground and in the tricky take off`s and landings making the aircraft safer and dont forget that this plane wont be 3t`s. The engine we have choesen is a Mazda/Wankel engine, with turbo and either two or three row`s with around 450HP but at the moment we are looking to find the engine, and also we are needing a company who would manufacture our prop and hopefully our props later on, so if you know anyone please contact us. It will be fitted with a three bladed constant speed propeller, with the diamater of either 2.6m or 2.5m we have to still work out the correct diamater we would need. The aircraft will have a fuel capacity of 150 Litres, which also can be upgraded by changing fuel tanks in the fuselage. We will also be fitting the wings with leading edge slats just like the original had it When finished our take off weight would be circa 900-1000Kg and with our weight/horsepower ratio we the aircraft would be able to do nearly what the original could going by the maths it could maybe have a chance to do better as well. We plan on doing this prototype first, register it here in Australia, and we also thought of the idea of having a G-12 version, two seater to let future pilots to master the controls before flying their own aircraft, and for those people who would like the thrill to fly in a `109.

At the end of the day we really would like to provide a solution for anyone out there to obtain a full size warbird replica much more affordable to the wider market World wide and not to just be at an affordable price, but to be able to run it at an maintain it at a fair price, for example, would you say no to an opportunity to buy and own a full size Messerschmitt Bf 109 warbird replica for a reasonable price, and maintain it at a cost what a Cessna 172 would?!?...
